Apna Ghar ("Our Home" in Hindi and Urdu) is a human rights organization dedicated to addressing gender violence through comprehensive, culturally competent services. Their mission is to empower survivors, engage communities, and elevate the issue of gender violence to achieve gender justice. With an evidence-based approach that considers both macro and micro-level conditions, Apna Ghar has been actively working since 1990 to overcome the unique barriers faced by survivors. Over the past 30 years, they have reached more than 100,000 survivors and community members across the region. Despite challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, Apna Ghar remains committed to providing frontline support, advocating for public health and safety, and promoting kindness and common humanity. They offer 24-hour crisis support and a range of services aimed at ending gender violence.
