Cara Collective is a Chicago-based organization dedicated to eradicating relational and financial poverty through the power and purpose of employment. Since 1991, their mission has focused on providing free workforce training, job placement, and personal and professional coaching to help individuals achieve long-term career success. They engage with job seekers, employers, and other organizations nationwide to break the poverty cycle. Cara Collective operates through four entities: Cara, their signature workforce readiness program; Cleanslate, a social enterprise for transitional jobs; Cara Connects, a staffing firm; and Cara Plus, an expansion arm for workforce development solutions. Their impact is significant, with over 14,549 jobs created since 1991 and a strong emphasis on sustainable employment and community transformation.
